Cecy Richardson, featured artist
Month of March
Cecy Richardson, a well-known printmaker, will be the featured artist until March 27th. A resident of Cortez, Richardson is basically a printmaker, but is constantly experimenting with new techniques and embellishments, making her work truly "mixed-media". Her favorite subjects are the lush vegetation and varied wildlife of Florida. A member of Island Gallery West, she exhibits her work at many local art centers. The Gallery is located at 926 12th St. West, in the Village of the Arts in Bradenton. Gallery Hours are 10 A.M. - 4 P.M., M-F, and 11 A.M. - 4 P.M. Saturday. Post Pop Show
Palmetto Art Center (PAC)

You’ve likely heard about or are familiar with Andy Warhol—and the Pop Art movement he defined. But what is Post Pop? Palmetto Art Center (PAC) will showcase POST POP artworks by world-renowned and talented local artists. The POST POP Show’s “Opening Nite” is open to the public with no admission fee. Select artworks will be on sale, and the Gumbo Boogie Band will perform. Gumbo Boogie is well known throughout Florida for its spin on piano driven New Orleans Rhythm-n-Blues and accordion powered Zydeco. Following the Opening Nite, the PAC Gallery will be open Monday-Friday (CLOSED on Wednesday) from 10AM – 2PM, Saturday 11AM – 3PM through March 30th.
