New exhibition at ArtCenter Manatee’s ComCenter Gallery
June 2nd - July 11th 2008 opening reception June 6th, 5-7pm
New exhibition at ArtCenter Manatee’s ComCenter Gallery located at 9040 Town Center Parkway in Lakewood Ranch.
"Thinking Out Loud 2" an exhibit of paintings by Tyrell Waiters.
Nineteen year-old Tyrell Waiters, one year out of high school, recently held his first and very successful one man show, Thinking Out Loud. He is back with additional exciting work, ranging from soft still-lifes to the bold and funky. Tyrell’s images are taken from the people and places around him, including the often trouble-ridden streets where he was raised.
Tyrell made a statement even as a younger artist, winning several awards and earning the attention of area professionals, including Miki Boni of the Village of the Art’s Kaos Gallery, who became a mentor to him. He continues to mature as an artist, garnering repeated requests for exhibitions and commissioned work.
The public is invited to attend a wine and cheese reception on Friday, May 2nd 5-7pm where they will have the opportunity to meet the artist.
The exhibit is currently available for viewing free of charge during office hours Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm.
Directions to the ComCenter: I-75 to University Blvd. (turn east). Take first left at light at Market Street (Publix Plaza). Immediate left on Exchange Way, right at stop sign. ComCenter is 1st building on the left (pink 2 story), gallery is on 1st floor.
