Margaret Mead Film Festival - March 2008
The South Florida Museum is honored to bring the American Museum of Natural History’s Margaret Mead Traveling Film and Video Festival to Bradenton. The annual Margaret Mead Film & Video Festival is the longest-running, premiere showcase for international non-fiction media in the United States.
The Festival features a broad spectrum of cultural documentary, both in form and subject matter. The five week program line-up is as follows:On Reincarnation, Tuesday, March 4th, 6:30 pm, Film: The Thread of KarmaLucha Libre Activista, Tuesday, March 11th, 6:30, Film: Super AmigosConfronting Terrorism, Tuesday, March 18th, 6:30, Film: Promised ParadiseRethinking Gender in Iran, Tuesday, March 25th, 6:30, Film: The BirthdayThe Politics of Water, Tuesday, April 1st, 6:30, Films: Village of Dust, City of Water and The Water Front and Gimme GreenSelect screenings will be followed by a facilitated discussion.
