In The Belly of the Beast Opens the FST Stage III Season
In the Belly of the Beast will be directed by Debra Whitfield, who directed the Off-Broadway production of Certain Souls. Whitfield also directed Don’t blame Me, I Voted For Helen Gahagan Douglas in last years New Play Festival at Florida Studio Theatre. Her production of Trifles, by Susan Glaspel, won the Beaux Arts Da Vinci Award for Best Revival in New York.
The production design team includes FST staff member Marcella Beckwith (Costume Design), Lauren Feldman (Set Design) and Colleen Jennings (Lighting Design).
The alarming docu-drama, In the Belly of the Beast begins February 6 – February 24, 2008 at the Gompertz Theatre. Tickets are $19 - $32 and may be purchased from the FST Box Office in person, by phone (941) 366 – 9000 or online at www.floridastudiotheatre.org !
