February 13, 2008, Sarasota – Known as one of the most imaginative artists of our time, pianist Vladimir Feltsman spent eight years in virtual artistic exile, banned from performing in the Soviet Union after applying for an exit visa. His first performance in the U.S. was at the White House. We are proud to have him take the stage with our Orchestra performing Brahms’ grand Piano Concerto. The program also includes one of the most popular modern symphonies, Dvorák’s Symphony No. 8.
