Circus Sarasota Band Night February 6th
Sarasota, FL-January 28, 2008 Traditional circus marches, called "screamers" are fun to play and musicians of all types can dream of "running away" to play in a circus band. Leif Bjaland, artistic director and conductor of the Florida West Coast Symphony, along with musicians from that orchestra, Sarasota Concert Band, Venice Symphony and Sarasota Pops among others, have all volunteered their time to create one magical night of live circus music with a traditional Ring Concert under the Big Top at Circus Sarasota on Wednesday, February 6 with music starting at 6:30 pm.
